Turkish Grain Board (TMO) purchased approximately 790,000 tons of milling wheat in the tender for 790,000 tons of wheat import.
Trade sources stated that the procurement in the tender has ended.
Since the purchases in TMO tenders are subject to final approval, the purchase amounts may change later or the purchases may be canceled completely.
Trade sources attributed the extra-ordinary bid to the earthquake, which killed more than 44,000 people and caused extraordinary property damage.
Trade sources reported that in addition to Russian wheat, other countries including Ukraine and especially Black Sea countries will be sent among the purchases.
It was reported that all purchased wheat contains 12% protein.
