According to the report shared by Baker Hughes with ForeksHaber via e-mail, the number of oil and natural gas rigs increased by 103 compared to the same period last year.
In the USA, 734 of the drilling rigs were located on land, 17 in open waters and 2 in inland waters. While the number of drilling rigs on land decreased by 7 compared to the previous week, the number of drilling rigs in open waters did not change.
While the number of oil drilling rigs in the country decreased by 7 to 600, the number of natural gas drilling rigs remained unchanged at 151. The number of natural gas and oil joint drilling rigs has not changed and has been announced as 2 units.
693 of the drilling rigs in the country are horizontal (Herizontal), 44 of them are directional
(Directional), 16 of them were announced as vertical (Vertical).
While the number of rigs remained unchanged at 370 in Texas, the largest oil production center, it decreased by 2 to 106 in New Mexico, one of the other major centers.
