Gran Turismo 7 is released in the shadow of war! But in Russia, the situation is a little different.

Gran Turismo 7, which has a huge fan base, was released today on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. Except for one country.

The whole world is focused on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This tension, which is followed by unease, is undoubtedly not in anyone’s best interest. Many countries and large companies are imposing sanctions against Russia and Russian society in order to take a stand. Gran Turismo 7 also participated in this growing line of sanctions.

Gran Turismo 7 is not on sale in Russia and there has been no official announcement from Sony

Gran Turismo, the most popular racing game in the PlayStation world, is in the markets today with its new game. Announced at the PlayStation 5’s launch event in June 2020, the high-graphics game was overshadowed by the war environment from the moment it first came out. So much so that eurogamer claims that the game was not offered for sale in Russia.

Recently, Ukraine’s deputy prime minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, called on Xbox and PlayStation to impose sanctions on Russia. There was no response from the companies regarding Fedorov’s call. However, Sony’s stance was interpreted as having reached the point where the message had been delivered. Russian users encounter the phrase “Release date Awaiting Confirmation” when they want to download the game.

Developed by Polyphony Digital and Sony, Gran Turismo 7 has long been expected by PlayStation owners. The production, which will be available to both PS5 and PS4 players, was finally released today. The well-established racing series has high quality image quality.

Although it has been hours since we came out, there are almost no negative comments about the game. But it’s huge, as if to give the game graphics its due. The game needs 110 GB of space for both consoles. Considering that the PS5 has a total area of 825 GB, the GT7 alone will occupy almost one-seventh of the PS5 on its own.

The game is a little expensive given Turkey’s economic situation. Priced at $599 for PS4 and $699 for PS5, the game makes gamers in Turkey think. Gran Turismo 7 features 420 different cars and 40 different tracks modeled one-on-one with real-life versions.
